Project Overview

Producing a 20-Episode 3D Series to Expand a Cambridge Learning Universe
“Super Minds” is a seven-level course for kids built to develop thinking skills, creativity, and social values through a growing cast of characters with special powers. As learners progress, the world expands, with new characters introduced every two levels.

University of Cambridge engaged us to bring this universe to life through a high-quality 3D series that would increase engagement and make the learning journey even more immersive.

The Challenge

Translating a Multi-Level Curriculum into Episodic Storytelling at Scale

This was not a single animation asset. It was an episodic production challenge with strict educational intent. The series needed to stay faithful to the “Super Minds” world, keep characters consistent and expressive across a long run, and deliver learning outcomes without losing entertainment value.

At the same time, the content had to remain structured enough to support a seven-level progression, where characters evolve alongside the student and each episode contributes meaningfully to the broader learning arc.

The Core Concept

An Educational Story Engine Built Around Characters, Progression, and “Big Questions”

We created a 20-episode 3D series where the Super Friends and the Explorers take students on a seven-level adventure. Each episode advances the narrative while exploring a “Big Question” through activities, projects, and video-based learning moments.
The objective was clear: make complex concepts easier to understand and remember by embedding them inside an entertaining, character-led story world.

The Strategy for Growth

Sustain Attention, Reinforce Learning, and Expand the Universe Over Time

We structured the production to function as a scalable learning format. The series was designed as five videos per unit, bringing stories, songs, grammar, and CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) to life in a consistent visual and narrative system.
By treating the show as a repeatable framework, not a set of disconnected episodes, we ensured continuity in character behavior, tone, and educational pacing, while keeping the experience exciting enough to drive sustained student engagement across levels.

Project Showcase

Value Delivered

A Premium Educational Series That Increases Engagement and Retention

Direct gains

  •  A complete 20-episode 3D series designed to deepen engagement with the Super Minds course.
  •  A structured format that translates curriculum concepts into memorable story-based learning.

Strategic advantages

  •  A scalable content system, five videos per unit, that supports long-term rollout and consistent quality.
  •  Stronger learner connection through evolving characters and a world that grows with the student

In short, Cambridge gained an episodic 3D storytelling engine built to make learning feel bigger, richer, and more engaging at every level.

FINAL WORDS

When Education Feels Like Adventure, Engagement Follows

This project shows what happens when curriculum design and premium 3D storytelling are treated as one system: students stay curious, concepts land faster, and the learning universe becomes a long-term asset. Complex learning. Cinematic storytelling. Lasting impact.
